3 Things No One Told You May Happen When Starting A Business
You have taken the first step to living the dream, the dream that does not involve stuck in a 9 to 5 job doing something that you do not enjoy. For those of you that are reading this and have yet to resign from your position, but have started planting the seeds to your departure, only time will tell when you think it is right to take that step.
If you are just at the beginning of your journey or you have been in business for a while, you have done what many people will call the impossible, to believe in yourself to take a risk and make it happen. Running a business can be very rewarding, it is likely that you will hear many positive stories from other business owners about how great there journey has been. Not many people will share with you the hardships and obstacles they have had to face to achieve success.
Here are 3 things you may never know
1. It is likely you will hit a crossroad on your journey. This may mean your sales are slow, your competitors are leading, and people do not believe that your business idea will work. Take time to remind yourself that this was not meant to be easy. This is an opportunity to think about the things that are working for you and the changes you may need to make. Unfortunately at times running a business will force you to make decisions that you may not want to be confronted with, sometimes these decisions are the best for what lies ahead.
2. You will need to be persistent! It may take you day’s weeks or months until you meet that first goal you have set for yourself! It is important to keep believing when things get tough to stay focused and remember why you started this journey in the first place.
3. Not everyone will want to see you succeed YES as confronting as that sounds you may be surrounded by some green-eyed monsters that may be a little jealous of your success. Unfortunately we cannot control how people think, but hopefully one day these people may look up to you for inspiration.
It is important to remember that every success story does not come without hardship. We are not born to be leaders we learn to be leaders from experiences, which will make you who you are today.
As you take the next step and look into the future, we hope to be part of your journey.
After all, you should be proud that you have done what many others cannot do and have taken the first step to achieving your dreams.
